Adult Beginner Improv: Unlocking the Self

By CATCh University (other events)

13 Dates Through Nov 03, 2022

ABOUT ABOUT

This 6-week course is made up of fun physical and mental exercises, group activities, and basic scene-work. In each 3-hour class, students will learn the basic tenets of improvisation such as; saying “yes, and…,” supporting their fellow improvisers, making positive choices, committing to the reality of the scene, and most importantly empowering the self. In this class, there are no mistakes and everything is a gift as we reinvigorate our sense of play.

These valuable lessons in improv are great for the stage and even better for life.

Class Schedule

The class will meet once a week on the same night for six weeks. For the classes that begin in October and November, we will be skipping the week of Thanksgiving. There will still be 6 total classes, but we'll be taking that week off. Thanks!
